Clinic Eligibility Requirements for Cats
There are more than 4 million homeless pets are put down in U.S. shelters every year. What happened to your cat’s kittens?
Operation PETS offers a number of programs to help cats get fixed!! The two most common ways to qualify are as follows:
“Income Qualified Programs” to cat owners who meet our income qualifications as listed below. These programs generally have a lower cost associated with the spay/neuter, rabies, distemper vaccines and revolution.
Cat owners who do not meet the income guidelines may be eligible for our “Spay it Forward” program. This program provides services for those who do not meet the income guidelines but are in need of spay/neuter services. This complete package includes the spay/neuter, rabies, distemper vaccines and revolution at the affordable prices.
INCOME QUALIFIED CAT OWNERS MUST MEET ONE OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW TO RECEIVE REDUCED PRICING
NEW YORK STATE BENEFIT CARD FOR FOOD STAMPS OR
YOU MEET THE HEAP GUIDELINES OR MEET THE HEA[ GUIDELINES.
To be eligible, you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment. If you don’t bring proof of eligibility you will not be eligible to use our services. 1. Valid New York State Benefit ID Card for Food Stamps 2. If your card does not have a picture must bring photo ID 3. If your card does not have issue date must bring proof that card is current (Award Letter or Re-Certification Letter)
RECEIVE HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program)
To be eligible you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment. If you don’t bring proof of eligibility you will not be eligible to use our services. 1. Photo ID 2. HEAP Verification Letter or proof of HEAP
OR IF YOU MEET HEAP INCOME GUIDELINES
Qualify if your total gross monthly income for your household size is at or below HEAP Income Guidelines. To be eligible you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment. FERAL CAT
No income qualification required but must be an educated caregiver and follow our Feral Cat Protocol.
MOM WITH KITTENS
Some moms with kittens qualify for our clinic (mom and kittens MUST all come to clinic for spay/neuter). Call us for more information on eligibility requirements.
EXOTIC BREED CATS
Exotic breed cats like: British Shorthair, Abyssinian, Scottish Fold, Ragdoll, Maine Coon, Siamese, Persian, and Bengal Cats etc. to name a few will be charge $250.00 for routine surgery package. (effective May 1, 2023)
